NZGQ Update
27/12/17

We are thrilled to announce that Vladimir Gorbach will be joining the New Zealand Guitar Quartet, kicking off our 2018 concert season with the Taranaki Classical Guitar Summer School, followed by two performances of the Concierto Andaluz (Rodrigo) with the Dunedin Symphony Orchestra later in the year. The NZGQ will be heading on tour to Australia, Mexico and the USA in June, with appearances at the Brisbane International Guitar Festival, Guitarramania (Mexico) and the Guitar Foundation of America (Kentucky). As one of the original NZGQ members we thank Chistopher Hill for his considerable contribution to the quartet, he has helped shape the group into what it is today and we wish him all the very best for the future.

Many of you will be familiar with Vladimir's career which includes numerous international successes, fellowships and competitions wins in Spain, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Greece and USA. His win at the Guitar Foundation of America Concert Artist Competition earned him an over 50- cities concert tour throughout North America, including Carnegie Hall, NY; Canada, Mexico and South America. In 2015 Vladimir started his appointment at The University of Sydney, Sydney Conservatorium of Music where he leads the guitar department.
